What is ClicBot?

ClicBot is an intelligent coding robot for educational purposes and entertainment. It's extremely modular and is like building blocks--no screws, nuts or wiring, with very fast construction and deconstruction time.

There are detailed tutorials that help you build your first robot in under 3 minutes.


What can it do? What features does it have?

With the robot coming in individual pieces, the many different variations of putting separate robotic blocks together can develop your hands-on ability, creativity, and unlimited imagination.
When you made a brand new robot, you can learn spatial thinking ability, logical thinking ability, problem solving ability. Like how a car runs, how a dog walks, how to make a robot can both walk and run.


Is it programmable?

Yes, ClicBot is fully programmable, and there are multiple ways to program it.

From motion programming, which requires no coding skills, to Blockly drag and drop programming that requires logical thinking and coding basics (No need to write and code, simply drag and drop code blocks, like Scratch). The programming interface is super user-friendly so even children before school age can master it.

We provide down to bottom video courses to help your programming.


How do I control it? Does it need to connect to WiFi?

You can control ClicBot with our ClicBot APP (phone and tablet), both on IOS and Android (above iOS10 or Android 5.0 system).

You can connect ClicBot and your phone on the same WiFi or directly connect ClicBot to your hotspot (when outdoors).


How long does the battery last and how does it charge?

There is no solid battery lasting time because ClicBot is modular. The bigger the robot is, the faster it consumes its battery. If a robot is in "Bac" mode, then the battery lasts for 2.5 hours.

Charging is via USB type-c cable with any wall charger (adapter) with 5V 2A. However, the Apple adapter with 5V 1A also works (a bit slower). Standard charging time is 2-3 hours for full charge.


Will the ClicBot keep updating?

Yes, not only will firmware keep updating new functions, but it will also continuously update content such as new video courses, downloadable robots, etc.

Brain

Master control and power supply unit of the ClicBot, processing all instructions. The brain contains visual sensors, gesture sensors, camera lights and touch sensors.

Joint

Joint is used for integrated motion with a high-precision servo system, in which contains a DC geared motor and angular position sensor, enabling precise speed and motion control.

Skeleton

Structural unit of the ClicBot, used for connecting limbs of the robots.
Wheel

ClicBot functional actuator unit used for vehicle setups, in which contains a DC geared motor and a magnetic speed sensor.

Holder

ClicBot functional module used for connecting a cellphone or sports camera.Smart Foot

ClicBot functional sensor module that serves as the 'feet', in which includes a highly sensitive pressure sensor to control and measure terminal pressure.

Suction Cup

A functional actuator module, which includes a negative pressure pump and a solenoid valve to control the air current, enabling ClicBot to perform climbing function.

Distance Sensor

A functional module with a high-precision infrared probe to control and measure the distance from an obstacle.

Grasper

A functional actuator unit that adopts flexible bionic design and can be controlled by a built-in micro-processor for grasping objects of various shapes and sizes.

Mount

A functional unit used for stabilising ClicBot to a table.

Locker

Lock is used to reinforce connections between two modules.
